At night we enjoy some scintillating Tango at one of the most authentic clubs in Argentina.
Transfer to the airport to catch a flight to El Calafate - Patagonia. Upon arrival you will be taken to the Hotel.
Calafate is a small town and one of the interesting thing to do in this town is visit the Glacial Ice Bar. The name says it all. It is located inside the Glacier Museum and its small structure is made from the famous Perito Moreno Glacier. Don’t forget to drink their signature drink…..called…. guess what?...yes that’s right Calafate!! (FYI…Calafate is the name of a native thorny shrub common in the southern Patagonia). We have been travelling for quite some time and today is a good option to get some rest. So incase you qant to recharge your batteries, take it easy.
Full day excursion of Perito Moreno Glacier
This place is truly spectacular. Its estimated to be 30,000 years old with an area of 192km². The front wall is 5km long and it peaks of up to 80meters. The deep blue base is almost as dark as the water that surrounds it. The silence can be suddenly interrupted by the tremendous sounds of the breaking of the ice from the glacier and fall into the lake.
This nautical safari showcase the immensity of planet earth and how small but important we are to this delicate ecosystem. Eye-opener indeed!
El Calafate / Foz do Iguaçu
Time to get to know one of the most beautiful places of South America. And fot that we need to travel. From El Clafate we fly towards Buenos Aires and from there we take another flight to Puerto do Iguazu and then across the border to the Brazilian town of Foz do Iguaçu. Its been quite some travelling today, so we rest at night.
Foz do Iguaçu
Eleanor Roosevelt after she saw the Iguaçu falls exclaimed `Poor Niagra!´
Time for an aerial view of one of the `new natural seven wonders of the world´. 257 individual falls over 2.7 km.
Chalo Helicopter ride!! It is optional but we feel it’s a must do, since we have come so far.
Now that we have had a birds-eye view, why don't we get closer? Explore by foot the whole Brazilian side of the falls. The sheer energy will give you goose bumps.
Near enough......I guess we can get a bit closer. Anyone for a raft ride down the river to the falls? Ok....let's go. Be prepared to get wet……soaked rather! This will be etched in your memory forever!
At night we have a great show for you. Spectacle of music and dance from 7 countries of South America and an amazing spread of the best of South American cuisine!
(1 Breakfast and Cultural Show with dinner. Beverages are paid apart)
Foz do Iguaçu
After an easy breakfast we fly to São Paulo. South Americas financial hub is all what a big city has to offer.
We explore the night life of this vibrant city
Don’t have to get up early for breakfast but at around 11 we explore some of the cities touristic places.
Breakfast over!....Great lets hit the beach. Today we will go on a short road trip (4hrs) in a very comfortable vehicle with a ferry crossover to an island on the northern coast of Sao Paulo. Ilha Bela (Beautiful Island) - the sailing capital of Brazil awaits us.
We will have a lunch stopover at one of the smaller, but, pristine beaches – Toque Toque.
Do our check-in and immediately get refreshed by a dip in the Atlantic Ocean.
Ilha Bela is a beautiful city with an enchanting nightlife. So I guess we have no other option! Party anyone?
Just one side of the island is accessible by vehicles. To get to the other side there is a raft ride and a 4x4 Land Rover trek cutting through the Atlantic forest, on the way back. Guaranteed fun! Also that side of the island has a lot of nearly private beaches where one can shed their shyness and be themselves, exploring the white sands, turquoise green waters and fabulous snorkeling experiences.
During the day we visit the beach of Castellanos and a couple of others.
Lunch would be on one of the beaches.
By 8pm we are back in the hotel. Have dinner and rest. Tomorrow we start our travel to Rio de Janeiro., visiting Paraty on the way
Paraty is a romantic cute village with world heritage buildings.
After lunch we drive to Rio (approx 3hrs)
Check-in and a quick dinner.
Christ awaits us with open arms. Selfie time!!!!!!!! After that we cable cart ourselves to the Sugar Loaf. Get amazed by the spectacular view that only Rio can offer.
A small tram ride to the city of Santa Terezinha, where lunch is blissful with Amazonian seafood.
On our way back after some local shopping, we stop by the most talked off beaches in the world Copacabana and Ipanema.
In the night we opt out from umpteen number of pubs, restaurants and typical botecos for bites and drinks. Tonight we sing and dance!!!
After breakfast……..guys tighten your belts coz, we gonna hang glide over Copacabana today.
This truly is one of the most beautiful experiences of Rio you can have.
This is optional and for those easy going guys we have tons of other options like going to the center of Rio and getting to know the day to day lives of `cariocas´ (people from Rio are called Cariocas), or visit beautiful botanical gardens, museums or the local theater which has amazing colonial architecture. One great place to visit is the Botanical Gardens of Rio. Few places in the world boast of a tropical rain forest right in the middle of the city
We have all options for lunch ….like street food (Acaraje is our favorite! Its basically Brazilian vada), or any of the umpteen number of restaurants that offer the whole range of Brazilian and international cuisine.
Nothing like relaxing on Ipanema after lunch.
Head back to the hotel by 6pm coz, the nights young! Freshen up. Wear your Latin lover t-shirts and lets hit the night at Rio Scenario. One of the 100 places to visit in the world according to CNN.
This is Rio culture at its best. You will fall in love with this place.
Options are either take the early morning flight back home or have another day in Rio and fly back the next day
